The writing on the wall
2014-04-15 08:15:28<kody02>i have a2002 zzr, needs lower crank case. i was wondering if a 93 zx6 lower crankcase would fit
2014-04-15 09:17:23<SteveZZR>Crankcases are cast the same but each pair if machined to match it's other half generally. I'd recommend you got a full crank case (or just bought a blown motor
2014-04-15 09:17:38<SteveZZR>and rebuild your current motor into it's cases).
2014-04-15 09:18:01<SteveZZR>Also, the pre-95 crank cases have a different mounting bolt pattern for the clutch case and are non-interchangable
2014-04-17 17:56:45<Jayzx6e>I have a 1999 zx6e and I'm trying to make it look a little more sportie. I trying to see if anyone knows what seat fairing I can use
2014-04-18 10:35:52<Green Magic Man>You could try to get an AirTech solo tail. Or do a tail swap to a 6R or ZX9. Check out msnr's post here for the 9
2014-04-18 15:50:48<Jayzx6e>Ok what year r6 or zx9 would fit? Sorry for all the questions I'm not very mechanic sound.
2014-04-18 18:38:12<SteveZZR>6R tails don't fit our subframe. 9R 98-00 is the only one confirmed to fit. 6R swap involves cutting your subframe off and fitting a ZX6R one
2014-04-18 18:38:44<SteveZZR>I don't understand why people weld new frames on anyway - if you're doing a subframe swap you should make bolt-on mounts and weld those to your frame
