Some rules of images:

Please pay attention to, and follow the guidelines as far as filesize and especially dimensions of images you upload.

Using 1024x768 images as avatars is unecessary, and is a horrible download for dialup users. Avatars are only 150x150 pixels. RESIZE AVATARS before uploading. Be considerate to dialup users and our bandwidth.

Also we recommened no larger than 800x600 for attachments/images used in your posts. 1600x1200 images are not only large in size, but look ugly when making a thread scroll off a users screen three times over. We like to cater to those users who may still be using lower resolutions. Not everyone has a new 21" 1600x1024 LCD monitor sitting on their desk. Again RESIZE your images.

While some modifications have been made so your 16284x12860 images don't break our pretty tables, you're still including huge images inline with your post, resize them on the other end (your server you linked to via the [IMG] tag) so people don't have to wait 24 minutes for said huge image to load. "Think before you link"

If you absoluetely can not resize images on your own. Post links to them (using the [URL] tag instead of the [IMG] tag), or ask for help in the pics help thread found near the bottom of the forum index.

Also keep all not safe for work images in the loony bin section under the Photo Gallery. Of course keep Avatars WORK SAFE as well.

If we all play nice and put just a bit of effort into making our experience here simple and clean for everyone, it makes for much happier admins :)
